The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Eric Philippe Nielsen
Eric Nielsen, Mechanical Engineer, University of Guelph

Passed away suddenly as a result of a car accident on Thursday, March 3,
2016 at the age of 23. Cherished son of Randy and Lucie. Devoted brother of
Lucas and sister Amanda. Beloved grandson of Arne & Shirley Nielsen and
Roselle & (Donald) Beaupré. Much loved boyfriend of Marisa. Dear nephew to
many aunts and uncles. Eric will be lovingly remembered by his cousins,
friends and classmates.

Eric will be remembered for his smile, wit and dedication, and above all,
his love of racing. A natural leader, who was patient and reliable, he was
the one you could call if you needed something fixed.

Friends and family will be received at the Jack & Thompson Funeral Home
Shelburne on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The funeral
service will follow at the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Family asks you
to join them for refreshments at the Agricultural Hall at 377 William
Street, Shelburne after the service.

To honour Eric's memory, donations can be made in his name to the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Guelph.
